Where AI may assist
- Organizing a research brief and outline
- Drafting or revising plain-language explanations
- Checking structure, repetition, and missing questions
- Generating topic-specific editorial images
- Finding items that require human verification
What must be checked
Dates, numbers, URLs, product names, standards, official requirements, safety statements, and material recommendations should be checked against current sources. AI-generated citations are not accepted without opening and verifying the source.
What the team decides
The editorial team selects the topic, determines reader value, chooses sources, removes unsupported claims, approves final text and images, and handles corrections. AI tools do not receive authorship credit because accountability remains with the publication.
Images
Some original editorial images may be generated with AI. They are illustrative and are not product interfaces, construction drawings, code-compliant plans, test evidence, or measured project data.
Why AI is used
AI is used to improve coverage and consistency while preserving a source-first editorial process. It is not used to fabricate experience, volume, authority, or certainty.
